Grouped into Squared: Part 1

So you got to know me as an “Eleanna”. But now I would like to introduce myself as a proud member of Green Group 21. The 1st part of our journey on Squared just reached its destination a couple of days ago, with us submitting our pitch for a super-amazing & ultra-exciting new online business idea (totally objective opinion guys). This post won’t be focussing on our idea though - it will be focussing on the overall experience, what it felt like to work as a group and get together only virtually on Google Hangouts, exchange ideas and information via shared Google Docs and collaborate to create our final piece online. #

I want to start by saying that the whole process flowed way better than I had imagined. To be honest, the first hangout was a bit awkward - a bunch of people participating in a video call, talking at the same time, some couldn’t be heard loud enough, others had no sound - but with time it got better and better. Communication was very easy - there was high responsiveness both on our group’s Google+ community and Hangouts as well as via emails. And most group members also showed great commitment. Everyone’s ideas were heard, then we would discuss different aspects, alternatives or optimisations and also offer relevant useful insights, leveraging every member’s experience and acquired knowledge from projects in their professional environment.

It was obvious that we all wanted this to go great and were eager to invest time and effort to make this happen. As we were getting towards the end, we unfortunately had some last-minute technical problems but what I can say is that the group members that were on it did their very best and refused to give up until the problem was resolved. So, a big “thank you” goes to them (you know who you are guys).

Our submission finally made it safe and sound to the Squared online campus and now, the awesome Group 21 is ready for the second challenge: the development of a digital marketing strategy to create an optimal experience throughout the customer journey. So stay tuned.

Last but not least, go Group 21!!!

El.
